Australian growers and industry have been exhibiting at Asia Fruit Logistica (AFL) for more than 10 years and will once again showcase their premium products under the Taste Australia brand at AFL this year.
Hort Innovation Head of Trade Diann Phan Said even though there has been some uncertainty around AFL this year due to the current situation in Hong Kong, the Taste Australia delegation will continue to support AFL and are confident it will be once again be a very successful show.
Taste Australia will have around 70 businesses showcasing a range for products from fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs; ready-to-eat and convenience lines; as well as packaging and businesses that support IT solutions in the supply chain. The range of products that Australia can supply into Hong Kong is vast, so there will be a large display of products across the 504sqm pavilion.
Also joining AFL for the for the first time in 2019 is representation from the Australian banana and melon industries.
Asia and the Middle East are key trading partners for Australia and AFL provides the 200 Taste Australia delegates access to key buyers and decision makers from these key regions.
Cooking and sampling sessions will be run at the Taste Australia reception area at 10:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 15:00 daily. There will also be other sampling opportunities throughout the pavilion.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to try our delicious produce, get ideas on how to use it in Asian and Australian cuisine and then apply these ideas to their businesses,” said Phan.
“Many of our exhibitors will have new products to try as well as our usual line-up, so please come and visit us at the entrance to Hall 3D, booths R02, S02, R20 and S20,” Phan adds.
Asia Fruit Logistica runs from 4-6 September 2019 and is held at Asia-World Expo, Hong Kong.
